I started Tail Waggers as an answer to the eternal question. What do I want to be when I grow up?

I found myself longing for days in the sunshine running and playing, truly enjoying life. I searched for something I could do that would allow me to enjoy myself and I kept coming back to animals. I love my dogs and over the years I have had cats, dogs, birds, hamsters, gerbils, bunnies. I have done pet sitting for friends and realized this was a way for me to reach my goals and help others. Providing in-home sitting services benefits everyone. You have peace of mind that your pets are safe and happy at home. Receiving first rate care and lots of love while you are enjoying your vacation or business trip.

Our Puppies

My big dog Simon

Simon came to me from friends who had two dogs and a new baby. Simon is so full of love and always wants to share it. He was so overwhelming to the new baby that they had to find a new home for him. I was a bit depressed at that point in my life and decided Simon and I needed each other. He is a 100 pound black lab/sheppard mix who thinks he is a teacup poodle! He is always ready with kisses and cuddles and as long as there are treats to be had he is by your side.  Years ago Simon went to stay with my boyfriend Brian for what was to be a short time. They bonded so well and Simon has Brian so completely well trained to attend to his every need that I couldn't bare to break them up! Simon enjoys spending time with his "brother and sister" Kodiak and Cheyanne who are both chow mixes. Over the years they have learned to tolerate him but we know deep down that they love him even if they can't put a treat down without worrying about Simon stealing it!

Our grumpy dog Kodiak
Kodiak  is the grumpy old man who made me work for his affection for 2 years! He barely tolerated me being around. He would just look at me, snort and walk away showing me his backside. Then one day he decided I had passed the test and deemed worthy of his love. He came over and wanted to play with me, it was one of the best days ever! He tapped me on the arm and wanted to play chase! He doesn't like to admit it but he loves me.

our sweet dog Cheyanne
Cheyanne is the mom of the group. If any of the boys get out of line she lets them know about it. She runs between them if they are getting rowdy and has the amazing ability to let them know if they aren't allowed into a room. We haven't figured out how she does it because she doesn't even look at them but they know not to enter. She is a lover and will give you kisses when she gets pet. She is a girly girl too and likes a little perfume every now and then to make her feel special.

my dog DubyaI adopted Dubya a black lab mix October 2004 from Maricopa County Animal Control. He was so tiny and was curled up in a tiny ball in the big cage all by himself. He didn't want to get up and play and just looked so sad. Dubya left us October 2008 and he is missed so very much.

my cat Wyatt
Wyatt adopted us, he followed my son home and after unsuccessful attempts to reunite him with his family he became a member of our family. He likes to chase the dogs, most of them do not like that but Leo loves it! Wyatt forgets sometimes that he is a cat. Usually he thinks he is a dog or a human.

our silly puppy LeoLeo was out wandering around looking for someone friendly to take care of him. He wandered into our Boot Camp exercise group one morning. He was so cute and had no collar one so I took him home to try and find his home. You could feel his ribs he was so skinny. After posting signs and calling animal control we waited for 2 weeks and then made him available for adoption. No one could see what a good puppy he is so he is now a full fledged member of our family and has everyone wrapped around his paw!
