Dogs and even cats can overheat, become dehydrated and even get sunburn.
ALWAYS provide fresh cool water for your pets, you can even add a few ice cubes most dogs and even some cats like crunching the cubes.
ALWAYS take fresh cool water with you when you are on the go. Enough for you and your pets.
NEVER EVER EVER leave your pets in your vehicle even for a few seconds. NOT EVEN with the windows open. Vehicles tempeartures rise very quickly and your pet can overheat and even die in a short period of time.
Sidewalks and pavement heat up all day long and stay hot even as the temp starts to cool down in the evenings. Walk your dog in the grass or if possible walk early in the morning and later in the evening to avoid burning their paws. You may want to consider shoes or booties for your pet.
